Alastair is a versatile, people-focused leader with more than ten years of experience across project management, customer service, carpentry and sales. He brings a strong technical foundation in construction processes, contractor coordination and site safety, paired with a proactive, detail-driven approach to every project. Known for his clear communication and practical risk management, Alastair supports teams confidently through complex operational tasks while maintaining a strong focus on WHS standards.
His career spans community services, the construction industry, where he earned his Certificate III in Carpentry and progressed into supervisory roles, local government and customer-facing leadership positions, building an adaptable and collaborative leadership style. Alastair joined Biodiversity Australia in April 2025. Outside of work, he is an avid fisherman and dedicated rugby coach.
