Fauna Management

Overview

Managing fauna solutions to minimise risks to native wildlife while supporting safe and compliant development

Local, state and federal legislation requires the presence of a Fauna Spotter Catcher during land clearing or vegetation removal. Our expert team has decades of experience across road infrastructure, pipelines, mining, construction, civil works, urban development, aviation and commercial wildlife management.

Biodiversity Australia provides comprehensive fauna management services nationwide, combining ethical wildlife practices with innovative technology and deep regulatory knowledge. Our fully certified, Indigenous-owned environmental consultancy ensures ecological integrity while enabling industry to meet operational and compliance requirements.

Pre-Clearing & Post-Clearing Surveys

Detailed reporting, monitoring using Anabat detectors to record and analyse bat echolocation calls, providing insights into species presence.

  • Anabat Acoustic Bat Surveys: Ultrasonic acoustic monitoring using Anabat detectors to record and analyse bat echolocation calls, providing insights into species presence, activity patterns, habitat use, and overall bat biodiversity. This method supports targeted conservation planning and informed ecological decision-making.
  • Thermal Surveys: Early koala detection, offering both handheld and aerial thermal technology to effectively locate the presence of high risk species, and effectively plan clearing activities to minimise disturbance and risk.
  • Artificial Habitat Design & Installation: e.g., nest boxes, glider poles, fauna bridges, frog fencing, fauna crossings.
