Laurence is the Business Manager for the Biosecurity Weeds team at Biodiversity Australia, working across project delivery, team management, client relationships and growth of our vegetation services.
His background has been in leading operational teams across outdoor industries, with strong ties back to farming and working on the land. What he enjoys most about Biodiversity Australia is working with good people who care about the environment and deliver real outcomes on the ground.
Why is working in environmental services important to you?
Environmental services is important to me because it reflects Kaitiakitanga — a Māori principle of guardianship and care for the land. That also connects with Indigenous cultures here in Australia and my own farming background.
